JazzMo......mostly jazz
Sarah Abbott (clarinet/alto sax/flute) comes from a classical background as a clarinet and saxophone player and has a successful solo and orchestral career, although she is loving all that jazz now!
She is a composer, arranger, conductor and music teacher. With Janet she is a founder member of Liquorice Clarinet Quartet.
Angharad Miller (trumpet/flugel) is an experienced amateur musician who has played trumpet, flugel and cornet in big bands, jazz ensembles , brass bands, wind bands and orchestras. As well as Jazzmo she currently plays with Blue Tides and with Bournemouth and District Concert Band.
Mark Tubbs (guitar) has over 30 years of experience, playing in groups ranging from duos to big bands. He loves jazz, blues and rockabilly, and is the foundation for all our arrangements.
Janet Cooke (tenor sax) started out as a clarinettist, playing in a concert wind orchestra and then forming Liquorice Clarinet Quartet with Sarah – established in 1998! She also plays tenor sax/alto sax/clarinet in Blue Tides, clarinet in Bournemouth and District Concert Band and created JazzMo to play all her favourite jazz tunes.
